ADAC HEMS Academy is an international training center focusing on Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS), encompassing all aspects of helicopter flight operations, emergency medical care, and related tasks.
Founded in 2009 as a subsidiary of ADAC Air Rescue (ADAC Luftrettung), the academy leverages over 50 years of global HEMS experience and more than 1 million HEMS missions to provide professional helicopter pilots, doctors, and technical HEMS crew members with invaluable training.
Airbus Helicopters is world’s n°1 helicopter manufacturer.
Its training academy in Germany has more than 45 years of expertise in training and is located adjacent to Airbus Helicopters’ manufacturing plant in Donauwörth. Its capacity is for more than 1,000 pilots and technicians annually.
Airbus Helicopters` objective in training and flight operations is to develop and provide innovative solutions to support its customers – which is key to increasing operational safety.
